Islam
Unfortunately; Islam is the most maligned and misunderstood religion in the west. So ,many people are afraid of Islam and this fearing turned into hatred (Islamophopia) and after every disaster they direct all suspicions towards Muslims because they ,simply, don't understand the real Islam and they are usually influenced by the distorted shape of Islam introduced by the mainstream media . One of the aspects of fanaticism is prohibiting women wearing the Islamic veil ( hijab) entering schools or working while they are talking about human rights!! Last months, the word "Islamism" was used standing for radicalism, terrorism and many other awful meanings ,but I don't believe in this word because there is only one Islam not Islam and Islamism. I think it is very bad to hide behind this word to link any bad thing with Islam even you put "ism" after it . After 11th September 2001 ,there was a great attention paid for studying Islam and thousands embraced Islam when they saw its true face and our aim is to clear the way for a fair appraisal of the fastest-growing religion in the world. |
