Meaning of
drugs
Drugs became a horrible fact that endanger the life of youth all over the
world. If you want to know the meaning of drugs, you needn’t look
up this word “drugs” in the dictionary. It’s enough to follow your sense
that they are too dangerous as drugs lead to death if they are used badly.
What are drugs ?Drugs as they are called in Medicine ``narcotics`` are
substances, which have a therapeutic character, and they may induce harms in
certain cases due to extravagance in manipulation Psychological or Physical
dependence takes place and disturbance in the brain activity, behavior and
consciousness.
They are planted for many reasons in the world and prepared in
laboratories as they are useful. Because we use them in medicine filed at
several cases to reduce the pain, for example: People suffering
from great pain in operations, drugs also are used in some medicines to treat a
lot of diseases like cough, they also used as a tranquilizer. Recently,
promising results in the use of cannabis with cancer patients have been
obtained, particularly in the relief of navsed and vomiting caused by
chemotherapy.
But people are using drugs with its different kinds badly to escape from
their problems this problems maybe personal like: (
failing in education or losing a friendship) or familiar problems or general
problems. Because through drugs as they think they run away from this world
which is full of problems to their imagination world. Day by day they take drugs
more and more until they can’t give up. And then they become addicts. So, we
focus in our project on the bad use of drugs. Because
all of these things, we must know what are the kinds of drugs ? this will help
us to avoid taking them. Kinds
of Drugs
Egypt, like any other country, suffers from Drugs-phenomena that swept through the modern world. This phenomena was known clearly after the several wars Egypt had fought in them, “1948,1956,1967,1973..etc . The enemies of the country usually try to make youth not to able to defend or build their country, so they sell them drugs to destroy them. In Egypt There are two kinds of drugs Natural and
Medicines. The natural drugs are planted in farms in remote regions in the
western desert and Sinai peninsula that are hardly known. Some
kinds are known popularly ``Hashish and Bango`` they are smoked like cigarettes
and cause destruction of the brain cells and the negativity. There are some kinds of medicines used to be addicted. They
are sold secretly by what we can
call ``death pharmacies`` the owner of this pharmacies don’t care if they know
that it’s an illegal way to earn money. These kinds are tranquilizer like
diazepam, anti-coughs like codaiene and analgesics like tramadol HCL. The most
dangerous is Afione and Horoin that destroy
the brain and bad doses cause health. And this are some types of drugs: 1-The
tobacco plant leaves: They are used to make cigarettes, during burning the cigarettes, the temperature rises in the burning part, and its organic compounds are analyzed forming new compounds . Oxidation and hydrolysis take place separating CO2 and forming many compounds as Tar and nicotine beside another compounds have bad effect to the health. These compounds make cancer and inflammation of mucus membrane. Nicotine makes high blood pressure, increases the pulse, increases the rate of sugar in the blood, the blood clot and convulses the central and peripheral nervous system.
Incomplete burning of tobacco produces CO; it affects on the blood
hemoglobin and causes lack of O2 that are carried to the blood cells. 2-Alcoholic
drinks:
The Affective substance is ethyl alcohol, which affects on the nervous
system, the intelligence and power.
The Tolerance leads to bleeding in the brain & loss of consciousness
and memory. Some of them have trembling and raving beside another bad effects as
peptic ulcer and duodenum, inflammation and fibrosis of the liver, enlargement
of the heart muscle and inflammation of the peripheral nerves. 3-
Cannabis:
It is extracted from cannabe plant. The tolerance of Cannabis makes loss
consciousness and alertness. It has bad effect on human health. 4-
Caffeine:
It is found in the tea, coffee and coca. They are alert substances
extravagance in manipulation leads to insomnia. 5-
Cocaine:
It is extracted from coca plant
leaves, it is an activator. The Tolerance leads to destroying the nervous
system. 6-
Heroin:
Soft white powder which is extracted from raw opium, it is a very
dangerous narcotic system it destroys the nervous system. It is extracted from
the fruit of poppy plant. 7-Morphine: It is extracted from opium, which is used in the medical fields to remove the pain, and codeine that comes from morphine and is used as a sedative drug for cough. |
